Hello to everyone who has joined the community! :-)

Please feel free to post anything you fancy - cricket related things only, obviously. It doesn't matter if it's about the current Test series or not... pics, general comments & chit chat are welcomed too!
If anyone wants to start sharing icons etc, that's cool - go ahead.

Keep coming back x

Just a few bits and bobs in the run up to the 2nd Test...

http://www.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,1-1203037,00.html

That's bad news for Tres, it would be understandable if he decided to return home... but after the way he played in the first Test, everyone will have their fingers crossed that he'll stay with the team! *fingers crossed*

Meanwhile...

http://www.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,8-1202948,00.html - Predictable!

http://www.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,8-1203100,00.html - Have to agree with those comments on KP. But hopefully he'll learn from that. And at least he's holding on to catches now ;-)

Hey folks...

Despite having a broken digibox for over a week, my viewing is now back on (phew) and I can look forward to watching our boys battle it out with Pakistan!
Who's dedicated enough to get up at 4am then? I shall be there, I'm an insomniac anyway, so it matters not a jot to me! :-D
Sadly there's no Michael Vaughan and we've been a bit dodgy in the warm-up matches but they sound confident - as they should be. I was thinking earlier, the Ashes series feels like it ended ages ago!

Predictions for the first Test? I'm also interested to know everyone's thoughts on Ian Bell. I don't think he can cut it at this level and don't fancy his chances on this tour. Opinions?

I've been a bit poorly :-( Which explains why I've neglected this place! Anyway, a few things have happened since I was last able to post on here.

Firstly, the Pakistan touring party has been announced (sadly for Freddie and co. it's not that kind of party! :P). You'll all know it by now, but I shall post it regardless!

England Test squad: Michael Vaughan (captain), James Anderson, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Stephen Harmison, Matthew Hoggard, Geraint Jones, Simon Jones, Alex Loudon, Kevin Pietersen, Matthew Prior, Andrew Strauss, Chris Tremlett, Marcus Trescothick, Shaun Udal.

England one-day squad: Michael Vaughan, James Anderson, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Stephen Harmison, Geraint Jones, Simon Jones, Kevin Pietersen, Matthew Prior, Liam Plunkett, Vikram Solanki, Andrew Strauss, Chris Tremlett, Marcus Trescothick.

England Academy squad: Gareth Batty (Worcestershire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Stuart Broad (Leicestershire), Rikki Clarke (Surrey), Alastair Cook (Essex), James Dalrymple (Middlesex), Steven Davies (Worcestershire), Mark Footitt (Nottinghamshire), Ed Joyce (Middlesex), Robert Key (Kent), Sajid Mahmood (Lancashire), Liam Plunkett (Durham), Chris Read (Nottinghamshire), Owais Shah (Middlesex), Tom Smith (Lancashire), Luke Wright (Sussex), Mike Yardy (Sussex).

Chris Read misses out again. Thoughts?
Simon Jones is looking more doubtful by the day but hopefully he'll pull through and play some part.

Hi if you've made it to the site! It's not quite finished yet, as you can see... but should be up and running by Saturday night. Keep checking back because soon it'll be ready for you to start posting. :-)

Everyone still hungover from celebrating the Ashes win?
